Operations Executive - Freight Forwarding & Shipping

About the Position

An opportunity for an Operations Executive or Manager specializing in Freight Forwarding and Shipping, with a preferred experience range of 1 to 3 years. The job location is at Golden I, Tower 3, 1st Floor, Unit Nos. 121, 130, 131, Techzone 4, Greater Noida West, Sector 1, Uttar Pradesh 201306.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations related to Air and Sea Freight, including Less than Container Load (LCL) and Full Container Load (FCL) shipments.
• Liaise effectively with customers, airlines, shipping lines, customs brokers (CHA), transporters, and overseas agents.
• Oversee the entire shipment lifecycle including booking, pickup, customs clearance, documentation, and final delivery.
• Ensure accurate preparation and verification of essential export documents such as Air Waybills (AWB), Bills of Lading (BL), Shipping Bills, Shipping Instructions (SI), Verified Gross Mass (VGM), Invoices, and Packing Lists.
• Monitor shipment statuses closely and communicate timely updates to customers.
• Coordinate logistical operations including factory pickup, Container Freight Station (CFS)/Inland Container Depot (ICD), port or airport movements, and final delivery arrangements.
• Handle shipments including Delivered at Place (DAP), Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU), and door-to-door service as applicable.
• Work with overseas agents to manage pre-alert notices, destination clearance, and delivery confirmation.
• Address and resolve any operational challenges, shipment delays, or discrepancies in documentation.
• Maintain detailed shipment records, Management Information Systems (MIS), and prepare operational reports.
• Communicate with Accounts and Pricing departments to discuss shipment-related charges and vendor invoices.

Candidate Profile

• Preferably a graduate with 1 to 3 years of experience in Freight Forwarding, Shipping, or Logistics sectors.
• Sound understanding of Air and Sea Freight operations and export documentation processes.
• Familiarity with LCL/FCL shipments, Air Waybills/Bills of Lading, Customs Clearance procedures, and Incoterms is preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination, and follow-up capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email communications.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to efficiently work under pressure.
