Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator for our Willawong site in Brisbane to support operational teams in delivering consistent, scheduled services that meet contracted standards. This full-time position operates Monday to Friday during day shifts and requires a hands-on leader who can engage closely with drivers, customers, and stakeholders to foster continuous improvement and a culture prioritizing safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for daily operational matters, collaborating with operations and management staff to enhance service quality, troubleshoot issues, and explore new work possibilities.
  • Perform regular ride-alongs with drivers to identify efficiencies, promote safe work practices, and maintain high service standards.
  • Conduct site inspections to carry out risk assessments, verify safety compliance, and resolve customer and operational challenges proactively.
  • Coordinate asset maintenance and repairs to ensure equipment safety, compliance, and reliability.
  • Accurately manage data entry related to run sheets, reporting, and daily administrative tasks.
  • Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify opportunities for productivity gains and service excellence.

Candidate Profile

  • Proactive and engaging attitude with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Analytical skills to interpret operational data, recognize trends, and implement effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with logistics operations including GPS navigation and route planning is a plus.
  • Comfortable interacting in the field, nurturing driver and customer relationships, and addressing issues promptly.
  • Experience in workplace inspections, risk assessments, or safety observations is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills paired with professional personal presentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently within a dynamic environment.
  • Competent with IT, quick to learn new software including Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
