Operational Specialist - ISO Certification & Training

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Operations Specialist to lead the daily operational activities of a growing organization focused on ISO certification, auditing, consultancy, professional safety training, third-party inspections, and competency development. This full-time onsite role in Doha, Qatar, requires managing multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring smooth workflows within our ISO Certification, Training, and Inspection divisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across certification, auditing, training, and inspection units.
• Design and implement operational procedures, define workflows, and set performance benchmarks.
• Facilitate coordination among management, auditors, trainers, inspectors, and client representatives.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs), revenue goals, and ensure quality service delivery.
• Ensure timely completion of client projects and certification activities.
• Manage the end-to-end ISO certification lifecycle from initial client inquiries through certification and surveillance audits.
• Schedule and coordinate audits with lead auditors and technical experts while maintaining compliance with ISO standards and documentation requirements.
• Supervise the safety and professional training academy operations including trainer coordination, curriculum management, course schedules, and client needs.
• Develop corporate training programs and institutional collaborations.
• Oversee third-party inspections, managing inspection personnel, scheduling, and reporting.
• Support business development efforts, client relationship management, and prepare service proposals and agreements.
• Ensure ongoing quality assurance, compliance with Qatar regulations, accreditation requirements, and international standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Quality Management, Occupational Health & Safety, or related disciplines.
• At least 5 to 8 years of pertinent experience in ISO certification bodies, training academies, inspection companies, or HSE/Safety operations.
• Comprehensive understanding of ISO management systems including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
• Experience managing auditors, trainers, technical staff, and inspectors.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17021-1 and certification body processes is a strong plus.
• Previous work with accredited certification bodies preferred.
• Strong expertise in audit documentation, corrective measures, and certification compliance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience operating in the Qatar market is highly desirable.
