Role Overview
The position of Odoo Freelancer entails a full-time hybrid engagement based in the UAE, allowing some flexibility for remote work. The primary responsibilities revolve around configuring and customizing various Odoo ERP modules, including accounting, sales, inventory, and marketing, alongside integrating Odoo with other client business systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze client requirements to design and implement workflow solutions within Odoo.
- Prepare detailed technical and functional documentation supporting system setups.
- Deliver user training and ongoing support for ERP users.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to identify and resolve issues, optimize system functionality, and enhance processes.
- Test new Odoo features, ensure data accuracy, and align implementations with local UAE regulations and business practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and supporting Odoo ERP systems for medium to large businesses.
- Deep functional expertise in core Odoo modules: Sales, CRM, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting/Invoicing, and HR.
- Skilled in business process mapping and gap analysis to translate operational workflows into Odoo configurations.
- Capable of independently diagnosing and resolving functional problems, workflow hindrances, and user errors post-deployment.
- Proficient in system configuration including automated actions, access rights, user roles, document controls, and custom approval workflows without direct code modifications.
- Basic technical understanding of XML view structures, data import/export via CSV/Excel, field mapping, and effective communication of functional gaps to developers.
- Experienced in clean data migration of master data and performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) prior to launch.
- Competent in creating clear user manuals, standard operating procedures, and conducting client training for smooth ERP adoption.
- Strong client and stakeholder communication skills to lead meetings, clarify project details, and provide ongoing post-implementation support.
