Position Overview
The Address Connolly is seeking a skilled Night Auditor to become a vital member of our Front Office Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring superior guest services and overseeing hotel operations during night hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrive punctually for shifts, maintaining a complete, neat uniform in compliance with company grooming standards.
- Uphold the highest standards of personal hygiene and workplace cleanliness.
- Adhere to company policies on fire safety, health, hygiene, security, and customer care.
- Conduct thorough security checks and patrol the hotel premises according to operational protocols and business needs.
- Serve beverages to guests during late hours and maintain cleanliness of service areas before shift end.
- Manage room service duties, including cleaning, preparation for early breakfasts, and assisting with early morning service.
- Assist guests with luggage when requested.
- Ensure meeting rooms are appropriately cleaned and set up for upcoming events.
- Perform all front desk responsibilities, including guest check-ins, check-outs, night audit functions, and addressing guest requests promptly.
- Identify VIP and returning guests, ensuring the night team is similarly informed to enhance customer recognition.
- Register guests accurately on arrival using proper procedures and brand standards.
- Maintain thorough documentation for guest registration and departures.
- Stay well-informed about the hotel's promotional offers, room availability, and pricing at all times.
- Proactively meet guest needs such as dinner reservations and porter services within reasonable limits.
- Deliver consistently excellent customer service and timely, professional handling of reservations.
- Answer and manage telephone switchboard duties when required, transferring calls appropriately.
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and no-shows according to company policy.
- Assign rooms sensibly, considering relevant guest preferences.
- Maximize sales opportunities by promoting in-house services whenever feasible.
- Ensure all cash and valuables are securely managed following cash handling policies.
- Assist with general cleaning tasks as directed during the night shift.
- Manage task checklists and supervise night porter activities during shifts.
Candidate Profile
- At least one year of experience in reception or administrative roles.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly telephone presence.
- Confidence in engaging with guests and customers effectively.
- Organized, efficient, and capable of multitasking under pressure.
- Computer proficiency, ideally familiar with HotSoft or comparable hotel management systems.
