NDT Assistant

Job Overview

Position available at our Lynwood, CA Plant 2 location as a full-time NDT Assistant working the first shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Essential Functions

• Enrolled as a trainee actively participating in a specified NDT method training program for a designated time period.
• Gain experience under the direct supervision of Level 2 or Level 3 NDT personnel.
• Experience may also be gained under Level 1 or instructor supervision if approved by the Responsible Level 3.
• Not authorized to make accept or reject decisions.
• Prohibited from independently conducting tests or any other NDT activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Abilities

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
• Capable of following verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Physical ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds.
• Must be an uncertified NDT trainee capable of performing all trainee-level NDT tests and functions.

Physical Requirements

• Good near, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision.
• Able to hear normal conversations.
• Good tactile sense.
• Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) during plant operations.

Work Environment
