Nail Technician - Full Time

Job Overview

The Nail Technician role involves delivering expert nail and skin care services within a bustling salon environment. Reporting to the Salon Manager or Desk Manager, this position requires a licensed professional dedicated to providing high-quality client experiences including natural nails, manicures, pedicures, and gel or Shellac treatments. Candidates should possess a passion for the beauty industry and a commitment to continual learning.

Responsibilities

• Consistently meet or surpass personal service and retail sales targets.
• Greet clients promptly upon their check-in.
• Grow and maintain a robust client base by gathering new client requests and keeping up-to-date client records.
• Deliver outstanding services with technical expertise while recommending appropriate retail products.
• Handle customer service concerns professionally and resolve issues swiftly.
• Maintain clear and effective communication skills.
• Engage actively in ongoing training regarding products, services, and industry trends.
• Uphold salon and personal workspace cleanliness in accordance with State Board Regulations.
• Perform regular cleaning, restocking, and management of client documentation.
• Organize time and resources effectively to achieve sales objectives.
• Report any workplace concerns directly to Salon Management.
• Adhere to salon policies regarding punctuality and attendance.
• Wear an updated professional appearance consistent with the salon's dress code.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid, current board-certified cosmetology or nail technician license is mandatory.
• Preferred experience ranges from two to five years within the cosmetology or related cosmetic fields.
• Physical capability to operate computers, telephones, and similar business tools.
• Ability to handle chemical substances safely.
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
