Job description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mulesoft Developer for a full-time, permanent position in Sydney. The role involves designing and developing integration solutions with a focus on API communications using Mulesoft technologies and other integration platforms.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze integration requirements and recommend optimal integration patterns and solutions.
- Design and implement REST and SOAP web service/API integrations.
- Provide excellent customer service by adapting to shifting priorities within an agile work environment.
- Work autonomously with a continuous learning attitude and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Lead and communicate effectively with client stakeholders and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Review technical project scopes during initiation phases, clarifying requirements, assumptions, dependencies, and key decisions.
- Participate actively in technical elaboration sessions and proceed to development with guidance from Integration leads.
- Incorporate operational considerations into interface/API development by adding loggers for troubleshooting and debugging purposes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Overall IT experience ranging from 8 to 15 years in software design, development, and support.
- Minimum of 4 years designing and developing solutions with Mulesoft versions 3.x and 4.x.
- Proficiency with API communication protocols including REST, RESTCONF, SOAP, JAVA.
- Hands-on experience with additional API management/integration tools such as WSO2, TIBCO, Axway.
- Strong understanding and practical knowledge of web services (REST, SOAP, WSDL, XML) and Microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with JFrog Artifactory, Red Hat OpenShift, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Confluence, and Jira.
- Experience with security protocols such as Okta, JWT, OAuth, SAML, SSL, and TLS.
- Operational experience managing Docker containers, IBM MQ, and ELK stack.
- Competency with CI/CD and Agile DevOps tools including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Maven, and Docker.
- Ability to estimate delivery timelines for integration components and handle complex integration challenges.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with cloud platforms AWS and Azure.
- Experience with Java and JavaScript programming languages.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support collaborative working environments.
Additional Information
Salary offered ranges from AUD 150,000 to 170,000 inclusive of superannuation. This is an onsite role based in Sydney, Australia.
