Role Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain milling machinery safely and effectively as part of road maintenance and rehabilitation initiatives
• Conduct pre-start checks, routine servicing, and hazard management activities
• Collaborate with paving and surfacing teams on-site ensuring productivity and quality standards
• Demonstrate flexibility to travel and undertake night shift work as necessary
• Support the broader team by taking initiative and working independently when required

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience operating Wirtgen asphalt profiling/milling equipment
• Hold at least a Class 4 Driver Licence; Class 5 preferred
• Possess current WTR endorsements
• Strong mechanical skills with a good understanding of plant maintenance
• Background in civil construction, roading, surfacing, or infrastructure projects
• Ability to make sound on-site decisions and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Willingness to work outside regular hours including nights and to travel as needed
