Role Overview

The Microsoft 365 Architect plays a critical role in both governance and delivery of Intelligent Workspace solutions centered on the Microsoft 365 stack. This role focuses on driving business outcomes by utilizing agile methodologies while offering customers proactive, strategic, and operational leadership and support.

The architect collaborates with clients to transform their operations through cloud-first productivity and collaborative technologies, establishing standards, delivering solutions, and serving as a subject matter expert and escalation point for technology operations teams.

Responsibilities encompass consulting and delivering Microsoft 365 services across data, communication, collaboration, identity and access management, and security domains, integrating these elements effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft 365 solutions for enterprise-level clients.
  • Lead architecture design, technical governance, and delivery of projects.
  • Provide authoritative guidance on Microsoft 365 technologies.
  • Craft high-level and detailed designs tailored for new solutions and initiatives.
  • Develop thorough technical and operational documentation.
  • Function as a technical expert and escalation resource for operations teams.
  • Work closely with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure successful deliverables.
  • Support team knowledge growth through mentoring and training contributions.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Extensive expertise designing and implementing solutions using Microsoft 365.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and practical experience with Microsoft Intune.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Teams, including Teams Voice capabilities.
  • Experience with Exchange Online and familiarity with on-premises Exchange environments.
  • Working understanding of Windows Server technologies.
  • Knowledge of device management and endpoint solution strategies.
  • Skills in automation and scripting technologies.
  • Experience working with migration and collaboration tools such as ShareGate, AvePoint, and Mimecast.
  • At least 8 years of experience in designing, deploying, and supporting Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • Proven track record delivering complex IT projects.
  • Strong foundation in Microsoft Identity management and modern workplace technologies.
  • Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within diverse teams.
  • Experience preparing architecture, design, and detailed technical documentation.
  • Strong consulting abilities and effective stakeholder engagement skills.
