About the Role
Core-Mark International is seeking a detail-oriented Merchandiser to support convenience store partners by enhancing product displays to maximize sales potential. This role involves using your own vehicle daily to visit various retail outlets and ensure that merchandising aligns with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive your personal vehicle to assigned locations daily to provide on-site merchandising support.
- Collaborate with convenience store staff and owners to evaluate merchandising needs.
- Implement and maintain product displays according to detailed planograms ensuring compliance with Core-Mark’s merchandising criteria.
- Set up, reposition, or remove store fixtures, shelves, and product displays as necessary.
- Carry out tasks such as stocking, pricing, shelf-facing, product rotation, and conducting shelf and product cleanliness regularly.
- Utilize sales velocity reports to analyze product performance and advise on discontinuations or replacements to improve store profitability.
- Identify and report any potential issues to Sales Representatives or Managers.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety within store aisles for customers and staff.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships by providing exemplary service and addressing issues professionally.
- Manage care and upkeep of assigned equipment.
- Submit accurate timesheets and reports detailing daily activities.
- Carry out additional merchandising or operational tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least six months of experience in merchandising, retail, grocery, or customer service roles.
- Ability to interpret and execute retail planograms effectively.
- Possession of a reliable personal vehicle meeting Core-Mark and Performance Food Group (PFG) standards.
- Valid driving license with a clean record and current automobile insurance.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail and customer service abilities.
- Physical capability to frequently lift 5 to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour.
- Mileage reimbursement provided (vehicle must meet company standards).
- Opportunity to earn an additional $300+ monthly through the CarData vehicle reimbursement program.
- Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
