Role Overview
This full-time, on-site leadership position based in Jeddah is responsible for directing merchandise planning activities for retail outlets and e-commerce channels. The role focuses on forecasting demand, assortment planning, and inventory control of fashion accessories and beauty products. Daily duties involve analyzing sales trends, monitoring inventory, establishing replenishment methods, and liaising with buying, merchandising, and logistics departments to maintain product availability and optimal allocation.
Additional responsibilities include crafting seasonal and yearly merchandise plans, determining key performance indicators, and assisting with pricing, promotion, and markdown strategies to meet commercial objectives. The position collaborates extensively with e-commerce management to synchronize online product assortments, support omnichannel initiatives, and enhance margins and turnover, all while keeping customer satisfaction central.
Key Qualifications
- Proven expertise in merchandise planning and inventory management, specifically demand forecasting, assortment planning, and stock allocation.
- Hands-on experience in retail and e-commerce settings, particularly within fashion accessories or beauty sectors.
- Strong analytical and numerical competency with proficiency in Excel or similar analytical tools, comfortable managing sales, margin, and stock data.
- Leadership skills capable of managing and motivating cross-functional teams and influencing senior decision makers.
- Ability to formulate and execute data-driven strategies that enhance sell-through rates, reduce excess inventory, and improve profitability.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective coordination with buying, merchandising, logistics, finance, and e-commerce stakeholders.
- Familiarity with merchandise planning or ERP systems, such as planning software or business intelligence tools, is advantageous.
- Background in fashion, retail, or FMCG industries; experience with multinational or regional organizations is beneficial.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Retail Management, Finance, or related fields; Master’s degree preferred.
- Willingness to work on-site in Jeddah and thrive in a dynamic, growth-focused workplace.
