MEP BIM Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled BIM Developer specializing in Building Services to join our team in Singapore. This position is part of a wider Building Services group with over 400 engineers across Asia Pacific. Candidates will have the independence to identify and solve challenges, creating tools that enhance project delivery. Key Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and maintain tools and plugins for platforms such as Revit, Dynamo, and Forma tailored to internal team requirements.
• Build data integration pipelines linking BIM models with project databases and external applications.
• Analyze workflow inefficiencies and develop reusable, scalable automation solutions.
• Manage full lifecycle of tools including release, maintenance, support, and eventual retirement.
• Produce clean, documented, and version-controlled code following solid software engineering standards.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and BIM teams to define project needs, finalize solutions, and assist in deployment.
• Contribute to developing equipment libraries and structured standards for project data.
• Provide documentation, guidance, and training to foster tool adoption among users.
• Uphold company values, professional ethics, HSE protocols, and participate actively in performance and continuous professional development discussions.
• Support team collaboration by sharing workload and assisting colleagues as needed.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum five years’ experience in BIM, digital engineering, or construction project delivery, preferably within MEP disciplines.
• Proficient in at least one advanced programming environment: Python, C#/.NET, or Dynamo.
• Strong competency with Autodesk Revit and its application across multidisciplinary projects.
• Hands-on experience with APIs, structured data parameters, and model data handling.
• Possession of a diploma or degree in relevant fields including Mechanical, Electrical, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or Computer Science.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Codex and their impact on software development workflows.

Additional Preferred Skills

• Experience in developing Revit add-ons or standalone applications.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Platform Services (APS/Forge) or Autodesk Forma platforms.
• Exposure to database systems such as SQL and structured data management.
• Experience using version control software like Git.
• Cloud computing experience, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Programming certifications or formal training in software engineering.
• Understanding of Singapore codes, standards, or submission workflows such as Corenet X.
• Project experience focused on MEP detailed design or fabrication modeling.
