Mechanical Design Engineer

Role Overview

This role focuses on the design and drafting of various industrial and solar-related mechanical structures. Your work will encompass creating detailed 3D models, fabrication plans, and structural calculations adhering to Indian standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and drafting industrial sheds, solar mounting systems, and equipment supports.
• Developing 3D models, general arrangement drawings, fabrication, assembly, and part drawings complete with detailed bill of materials, utilizing AutoCAD and SolidWorks software.
• Conducting structural load assessments and ensuring compliance with relevant IS codes.
• Preparing material estimates, cutting lists, and bills of quantities for manufacture.
• Collaborating closely with production, welding, and site erection teams to ensure flawless project execution.
• Interpreting client-provided drawings to deliver cost-effective and practical design solutions.
• Maintaining up-to-date drawing revisions and thorough project documentation.

Required Expertise

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory, with additional skills in SolidWorks or similar structural design tools.
• Expertise in structural steel elements such as ISMB, ISMC, SHS, and RHS sections.
• Working knowledge of welding symbols and processes related to sheet metal fabrication.
• Familiarity with structural analysis software like STAAD Pro or ANSYS is advantageous.
• Experience in designing solar structures is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of fabrication techniques and the feasibility of onsite erection.
