Job Overview

Currently seeking a skilled MC A-Double truck driver to become a vital member of the Landside Logistics team at the Port of Brisbane, Queensland. This role focuses on the secure and timely transport of containers and freight on metropolitan and regional routes, aligning with delivery schedules and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate MC A-Double vehicles safely and in compliance with relevant road transport legislation and company protocols.
• Ensure timely container deliveries and pickups that adhere to customer deadlines.
• Perform daily vehicle pre-start inspections and promptly communicate any safety or maintenance issues.
• Maintain precise transport documentation and update electronic records efficiently.
• Adhere to Chain of Responsibility rules, fatigue management policies, and workplace health and safety standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism and strong customer service when engaging with customers, port personnel, and internal teams.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a valid MC (Multi Combination) licence with proven A-Double driving experience.
• Current Marine Security Identification Card (MSIC).
• Experience in container transport, wharf cartage, or a related logistics setting.
• Thorough understanding of Chain of Responsibility and Heavy Vehicle National Law obligations.
• Commitment to safety, reliability, and delivering excellent customer service.
• Capability to manage delivery schedules independently and efficiently.

Additional Information

This is a permanent full-time position operating Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime. The role is site-based at the Port of Brisbane and requires collaboration with the operations team to support daily transport functions.
