Role Overview

This position involves frontline responsibility for addressing and resolving systemic manufacturing equipment challenges. The Manufacturing Reliability Technician focuses on boosting equipment reliability and minimizing elements that adversely affect production yield, speed, and operational uptime. Additionally, the role supports the deployment of Intrinsic Process Capability (IPC) projects for current manufacturing technologies, primarily within lens production processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design, installation, enhancement, and ongoing improvement of equipment and processes related to lens manufacturing.
• Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides, work instructions, and training content for equipment and manufacturing operations.
• Utilize structured, analytical problem-solving strategies to devise innovative and lasting equipment solutions.
• Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to craft and apply effective troubleshooting techniques.
• Lead initiatives focused on cost reduction, quality enhancement, and technical improvements within the department's IPC program.
• Manage assigned projects, providing timely and accurate updates on progress, risks, and results.
• Collaborate closely with various teams to aid daily manufacturing operations and business goals.
• Foster and uphold a workplace culture consistent with the company’s Credo values and behavioral standards.
• Support strategic engineering and plant projects as required.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations in all activities.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess or be pursuing a Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in an engineering-related discipline.
• Experience in roles similar to Process Technician within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of equipment validation protocols in FDA-regulated industries.
• Expertise in two to three principal manufacturing technologies.
• Experience with technologies such as 2GT, 3GT, or 4GT in the applicable value stream.
• Proven ability to use scientific and data-driven methodologies to enhance productivity and yield.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
• Strong project management, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail.

Salary

The role offers a compensation range between 55,000 and 60,000 EUR annually.
