About the Role

We are hiring a meticulous and analytical Manual QA Tester to verify that software applications perform as intended and meet quality benchmarks before release. The role demands strong manual testing capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency in detecting, recreating, documenting, and communicating software issues clearly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual test executions of test cases and scenarios to validate software performance.
• Analyze requirements, user stories, and specifications to determine testing scope.
• Develop and upkeep testing artifacts including test cases, scripts, checklists, and documentation.
• Conduct various testing types such as functional, regression, integration, usability, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, reproduce consistently, document, and track defects within the software.
• Provide detailed defect reports including reproduction steps, expected outcomes, and actual results.
• Verify defects have been resolved through retesting efforts.
• Perform regression testing after updates, fixes, or feature additions.
• Test web applications across multiple browsers, devices, and environments as applicable.
• Ensure application aligns with both business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, designers, and other teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain precise records documenting test outcomes, defect statuses, and testing progression.
• Engage in release testing activities and quality validations.
• Support user acceptance testing when necessary.
• Communicate testing status, risks, and quality matters to stakeholders.
• Suggest improvements for testing methodologies and documentation processes.

Required Skills and Qualities

Experience and Other Requirements

• Proven track record of creating and executing manual test cases.
• Experience documenting and monitoring software defects effectively.
• Familiarity with tools like Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Background testing web or other software applications.
• Proficiency in conducting functional and regression testing.
• Able to interpret requirements and create comprehensive test scenarios.
• Proficient with computers and digital tools.
• Capability to thrive in a dynamic work environment without compromising accuracy or detail.
• Comfortable collaborating with developers and interdisciplinary teams.
• Reliable internet connection and appropriate equipment for remote work.
