Job Overview

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out manual testing based on predefined test cases and scenarios to validate application functionality.
• Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to determine testing objectives.
• Develop and update testing artifacts, including test cases, scripts, checklists, and documentation.
• Conduct diverse testing types such as functional, regression, integration, usability, and exploratory.
• Detect, reproduce, document, and monitor software bugs and discrepancies.
• Clearly report defects with detailed descriptions, replication steps, expected versus actual outcomes.
• Verify fixes by retesting resolved defects and performing regression checks after updates.
• Test compatibility of web applications on multiple browsers, devices, and environments as needed.
• Ensure application behavior aligns with business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate across development, product, design, and other teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain comprehensive records of test results, progress, and defects.
• Participate in release validation and quality assurance efforts.
• Support user acceptance testing activities when necessary.
• Report on testing progress, risks, and quality to stakeholders transparently.
• Suggest improvements to testing workflows and documentation.

Qualifications and Skills

• Solid knowledge of manual testing practices and quality assurance principles.
• Keen attention to detail combined with strong analytical thinking.
• Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience in crafting and executing test cases.
• Competent in detecting, replicating, and documenting software defects accurately.
• Familiarity with tools like Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps or equivalents for bug tracking and test management.
• Understanding of diverse testing approaches including functional, regression, integration, usability, exploratory testing.
• Basic familiarity with web technologies, APIs, or databases is advantageous.
• Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple testing tasks efficiently.
• Self-motivated, capable of working independently and collaborating with distributed teams.

Experience and Requirements

• Prior experience in manual software testing, quality assurance, or related roles.
• Hands-on history of creating and executing manual test plans.
• Proven ability to identify, report, and track software bugs.
• Working knowledge of test management and bug tracking software platforms such as Jira, TestRail, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience testing software or web applications, specifically functional and regression testing.
• Skill in interpreting requirements into actionable test cases and scenarios.
• Strong digital literacy and computer proficiency.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment without compromising accuracy or detail.
