Managing Director

About the Role

G4S is looking for an accomplished Managing Director to lead its operations in Lusaka, Zambia. This leadership position involves overseeing the entire country operations with a strong focus on our core principles of agility, reliability, innovation, safety, care, teamwork, and ethics. The Managing Director will be directly accountable for setting strategic direction and ensuring overall business profitability.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and monitor detailed business strategies and budgets aimed at maximizing profitability and fostering operational growth over the long term.
• Champion integrated security service solutions and drive business expansion opportunities within the local region.
• Manage financial outcomes by comparing actual results with forecasts, and aggressively pursue revenue enhancement and cost reduction programs.
• Deliver top-tier customer service standards to ensure client satisfaction, loyalty, and adherence to best quality management practices.
• Establish and nurture transparent, strategic partnerships with key external stakeholders, including government agencies, law enforcement, and media outlets.
• Provide motivated leadership to the national management team, emphasizing skills development, succession planning, and boosting workforce morale.

Candidate Qualifications

• Possession of a relevant business-related academic qualification; a postgraduate degree is considered a strong advantage.
• A minimum of five to seven years in senior operational or business management roles, preferably in multinational corporations.
• Strong financial expertise complemented by a proven ability to lead independently and achieve results.
• Exceptional proficiency in executive-level communication, negotiations, and building professional relationships.
• Capability to adapt effectively to fast-changing environments while upholding high professional and ethical standards.
