Job description
Position Overview
This role is responsible for the comprehensive review, development, and approval of treatment process designs specifically for Water and Effluent Treatment. The position is based in Saudi Arabia and involves ensuring process design compliance with standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze Employer's Requirements, Technical Specifications, contract documents, and establish a robust Process Design Basis (PDB).
- Prepare and critically evaluate Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Perform mass, water, chemical balances, hydraulic profiling, and associated process calculations.
- Calculate equipment requirements such as sizing of tanks, pumps, membranes, chemical dosing, sludge generation, air supply, and assess energy consumption.
- Define process design criteria applicable to each treatment unit and verify process guarantees and performance metrics.
- Ensure all process designs align with relevant industry standards and legal regulations.
Candidate Requirements
- Professional qualification: Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree.
- Experience: Between 13 to 20 years in Process Engineering and Process Improvement.
- Specialized knowledge in water and effluent treatment systems and process design principles.
- Capability to interpret and develop detailed process documentation and engineering calculations.
