Job Overview

Join Think People Solutions, a rapidly expanding menswear brand specializing in D2C and omnichannel retail, as a Manager overseeing payroll and compliance functions. Based in Mumbai, this role demands proficient management of the entire payroll lifecycle and statutory compliance adherence within the Indian labor framework.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete monthly payroll cycle including data collection, validation, approval processes, and salary disbursement.
  • Administer statutory obligations such as PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, TDS, Gratuity, and Bonus compliances.
  • Manage final settlements and address employee payroll-related queries efficiently.
  • Perform payroll reconciliation, conduct audits, and analyze variances for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Finance, HR, payroll vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain HRMS and payroll software with up-to-date and precise employee master records.
  • Stay informed on labor law amendments to guarantee timely submission of statutory filings.
  • Promote payroll automation initiatives, enhance procedural workflows, and implement governance standards.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess 6 to 10 years of substantive experience in payroll processing and statutory compliance management.
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in end-to-end payroll operations and related statutory regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge of PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, TDS, Gratuity, and Bonus rules is essential.
  • Experienced in payroll audits, reconciliations, and compliance monitoring.
  • Good understanding of Indian labor legislation framework.
  • Exposure to HRMS and payroll management systems is required.
  • Profound Excel proficiency and capability in data analysis.
  • Work experience in sectors such as Retail, D2C, E-commerce, FMCG, or Consumer Goods is favored.
  • Handling payroll requirements across multiple locations is advantageous.
