Position Overview

This role involves overseeing the management of materials, contracts, and invoices within a governmental defense context, emphasizing budget oversight and compliance with legal frameworks governing government procurement. The position requires no prior work experience and starts with targeted training and on-the-job learning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting and managing purchase contracts within legal frameworks and allocated budgets.
  • Handling all legal and contractual aspects from preparation, closure, to execution of purchase and sale contracts, including quality controls.
  • Communicating and coordinating with companies from request for quotations to finalizing orders.
  • Utilizing specialized logistics management software daily.
  • Collaborating effectively within a team of specialists.

Career Development and Training

The initial focus is management and tracking of contracts, budgets, and general procurement within the Material Resources department, which could be located nationally. Advancement opportunities exist within the unit or broader defense structures, influenced by individual's profile and interests, supplemented by extensive training programs. After several years and experience accumulation, a transition from temporary to permanent contract status may be possible.

The training program includes:

  • Military Basic Training (around 4 months) focusing on physical conditioning and military skills, conducted in a camp setting with boarding facilities.
  • Specialized Professional Training (~2 weeks over a month) at the Royal Military School covering public procurement laws, contract execution, local purchasing procedures, and administrative software usage, interspersed with practical internships.
  • Followed by a 2-month on-the-job training period leading to independent work.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary with minimum net starting salary of 2852 EUR, complemented by net annual bonus of 1156 EUR.
