Role Overview

The Manager of GTM Engineering will head the established GTM Engineering practice, reporting directly to the VP of Revenue Operations. This leadership role involves managing a team of two GTM Engineers, with a particular focus on collaboration with the customer success team. Supporting this function is a Rev Ops GTM Systems team, enabling emphasis on complex, customized builds that enhance competitive advantage. While hands-on work is expected, the primary focus is on team enablement and driving adoption of technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the GTM Engineering team, fostering their growth and effectiveness.
  • Possess a software engineering background with the ability to manage engineering teams confidently.
  • Define and oversee the automation and AI strategy for the GTM organization, evaluating build versus buy options.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for automation and AI within GTM teams, staying current with trends and technologies.
  • Maintain expertise in large language models (LLMs) and leverage automation platforms like n8n to develop scalable, production-ready workflows.
  • Continuously assess and optimize automation levels to balance technology with necessary human involvement.
  • Drive adoption and utilization of built solutions, ensuring positive user feedback and iterative improvement.
  • Centralize and scale innovations originating from GTM teams by transforming shadow systems into shared capabilities.
  • Document and democratize automation and AI knowledge, standardizing processes to enhance scalability.
  • Support ongoing advancements in analytics capabilities, particularly relating to semantic layers, to amplify GTM innovation efforts.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Educational background or substantial experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical fields.
  • Proven experience leading technical teams.
  • At least 5 years in roles such as GTM Engineer, Revenue Operations Engineer, Software Engineer with strong GTM, sales, or customer success systems focus.
  • Working knowledge of LLM-based systems, including prompt design and agent evaluation, and applied machine learning concepts like propensity and intent scoring.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing sophisticated technical solutions in GTM or customer-centric environments.
  • Comfortable owning key GTM metrics such as pipeline contributions for both new and existing business opportunities.
