Manager - Forensic Planning

Job Overview

The Manager in Forensic Planning leads the evaluation of project delays and supports claims processes to protect the organization's contractual rights. This position focuses on conducting detailed forensic schedule analyses to underpin contract management, dispute resolution, and claim validation efforts, utilizing industry-recognized standards such as SCL Protocol and AACE International.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct forensic planning activities across multiple projects, guaranteeing methodological consistency and quality of outputs.
• Execute comprehensive delay analyses employing methodologies like Time Impact Analysis, Windows Analysis, Impacted As-Planned, and Collapsed As-Built techniques as necessary.
• Analyze baseline schedules, progress updates, and related data to detect delays, disruptions, and productivity effects including concurrency issues.
• Establish and document credible cause-effect relationships between project events and delays to produce defensible, audit-ready evidence.
• Assist in preparing, assessing, and disputing claims related to Extension of Time, disruptions, and acceleration.
• Collaborate closely with Contracts, Commercial, and Legal departments to formulate claim strategies and responses.
• Provide expert advice for formal notices, claim submissions, dispute resolution processes, including support for adjudication, arbitration, and litigation.
• Assess subcontractor and supplier claims for entitlement, amount, and risk to the company.
• Design and maintain contemporaneous record-keeping systems alongside project teams to strengthen claim support.
• Conduct forensic audits of project schedules and records to uncover vulnerabilities, risks, and opportunities for claim recovery or defense.
• Ensure forensic analyses comply with relevant contract provisions on delays, concurrency, float ownership, and mitigation duties.
• Prepare clear, structured, and legally sound reports featuring narratives, schedule data extracts, and evidence backing.
• Guide and train project planning teams in record-keeping best practices, baseline integrity, and delay identification techniques.
• Engage in negotiations with clients, consultants, and subcontractors concerning time-related claims and disputes.
• Support senior management in identifying and mitigating risks associated with schedule delays and cost impacts on projects.
• Lead ongoing enhancements for forensic planning methodologies, tools, and templates.
