Job Overview
CoreCivic is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker to join our team in Florence, AZ. Our ideal candidate is passionate about delivering high-quality care within a secure institutional environment and is committed to contributing positively to the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair the facility's physical structures ensuring operations remain safe and secure.
- Inspect, diagnose, and carry out repairs on machinery and equipment as needed.
- Install and repair electrical components, including wiring and electronic equipment within machinery.
- Conduct preventative maintenance following established schedules to ensure equipment reliability.
- Supervise and monitor inmates or residents assigned to the Maintenance Department effectively.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School diploma, GED certification, or an equivalent credential is mandatory.
- At least two years of experience in general maintenance or construction work is required.
- Technical or trade school coursework related to maintenance or construction may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Preferred knowledge includes expertise in building construction and operation of building systems.
- A valid driver’s license is necessary for this position.
- Candidates must be 21 years of age or older.
Compensation
This role offers an hourly wage of $24.98.
