Role Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, installation, relocation, and repair of all production machinery and related equipment, including specialized machinery, lift trucks, conveyors, plumbing, lighting, and storage systems within factory and office environments. The role provides frontline support to ensure functional equipment systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and procedures.
• Respond promptly to routine maintenance needs and demands.
• Engage in scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
• Operate various mechanical and electrical diagnostic tools and test equipment.
• Plan and assist in process improvements, document changes, and implement enhancements.
• Utilize machining, electrical, and mechanical skills for daily tasks completion.
• Communicate effectively with production teams and other stakeholders as necessary.
• Maintain stock of critical spare parts as required.
• Display strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to independently manage optimization projects from start to finish, including producing technical documentation.
• Perform light machining, welding, and fabrication tasks.
• Interpret and create mechanical and electrical schematics and drawings.
• Support shift work flexibility and collaborative teamwork.
• Understand and apply FDA regulations and equipment validation standards relevant to the industry.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

• Certificate in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years hands-on experience in an industrial maintenance role.
• Trade qualification is advantageous.

Additional Skills and Attributes

• Proficient in repairing hand tools, machine tools, CNC machine components including spindle bearings, ball screws, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Experience maintaining automated equipment, process lines, pick and place systems, and automated manufacturing processes.
• Ability to recommend cost-effective repair methods and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong coordination skills with engineering teams to provide solutions and analyses for project work.
• Capable of working independently without constant supervision.
