Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to manage daily upkeep and repairs at a multi-residential property in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various building repair tasks focusing on drywall, plaster, painting, tile work, and minor plumbing.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform drywall repairs such as patching holes, replacing damaged sections, taping, sanding, and finishing.
- Repair plaster on walls and ceilings and prepare surfaces ahead of painting.
- Carry out painting and touch-ups on interiors including walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and common areas.
- Repair and replace damaged floor and wall tiles, including grouting and caulking tasks.
- Conduct minor plumbing repairs like replacing faucets, showerheads, toilet parts, and fixing small leaks or clogs.
- Execute general maintenance and repair duties in both residential units and communal spaces.
- Support vacant unit turnovers and ready units for new occupants.
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance work orders.
- Identify issues requiring specialized contractors and report them to management.
- Keep tools, equipment, and workspaces clean and safe.
- Adhere strictly to building safety protocols and company policies.
- Maintain courteous and professional communication when working inside occupied units.
Desired Qualifications
- Proven maintenance experience in residential or multi-residential properties.
- Strong practical abilities in drywall, plastering, interior painting, tile repair, and basic plumbing tasks.
