Role Overview

Based in the central Birmingham city area near New Street Station, the ibis Birmingham New Street Station hotel welcomes numerous guests every year and seeks a Maintenance Team Member focused on practical repairs and upkeep to ensure the hotel remains safe, attractive, and fully operational. This is a full-time position offering up to A327,483 annually alongside additional benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform various general repair and maintenance tasks throughout the hotel premises.
• Conduct painting and decorating work as required.
• Assist with ongoing preventative maintenance initiatives.
• Maintain guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to high standards.
• Coordinate closely with managerial staff and external contractors.
• Guarantee compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements at all times.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in maintenance, facilities management, or property upkeep.
• Strong DIY and general repair skills.
• A proactive mindset with keen attention to detail.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience with painting and decorating is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, or carpentry tasks.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage ranging from A312.75 to A313.50, depending on age eligibility.
