Overview

PepsiCo seeks a Maintenance Shift Associate Supervisor for a 12-month fixed-term position at its Little Island site near Cork, Ireland. This role demands overseeing maintenance strategies to ensure machinery used in concentrate production operates at peak efficiency. The role encompasses managing mechanical, electrical, and robotic equipment maintenance, including software programming, supporting 24/5 operations with some 24/7 systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily reactive, preventive, and statutory maintenance schedules across shifts.
  • Lead and supervise the Maintenance Shift Team to resolve equipment issues promptly and minimize downtime.
  • Manage maintenance plans for plant equipment and facilities, collaborating with contractors and vendors, including reviewing method statements, risk assessments, LOTO procedures, and work permits.
  • Communicate with production teams to optimize machine uptime through performance reviews and data analysis.
  • Implement and maintain preventive maintenance systems aligned with functional KPIs, delegating tasks and ensuring timely completion.
  • Provide daily technical support, handle high volumes of maintenance calls and requests, and assist root cause analysis and problem resolution.
  • Prepare and update comprehensive shift handover reports highlighting key issues and priorities.
  • Support project and equipment handovers by integrating new machinery into the CMMS and creating maintenance work tasks per recommendations.
  • Participate in daily and weekly shift meetings and promote site safety and quality standards, actively championing health and safety excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with weekly maintenance plans and global monthly maintenance KPIs.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 3 years of technical experience in manufacturing with substantial frontline unionized staff management.
  • Proficient in inventory management for supplies, services, and spare parts.
  • Thorough understanding of plant and facilities technologies.
  • Competent with MS Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to analyze service reports, ensure statutory compliance, manage multiple priorities accurately and timely.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards, contributing to risk assessment and compliance.
  • Experience with PLC and SCADA control systems is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of fire alarm, fire protection, air handling, HVAC, boiler, and compressed air systems is beneficial.
  • Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems, such as SAP PM, is preferred.
