Role Overview
Join IMC Trading as a Machine Learning Engineer, where you will be instrumental in engineering systems that facilitate the training and deployment of expansive machine learning models throughout our global operations. Collaborate closely with distinguished researchers, hardware specialists, and software developers to craft resilient solutions that harness GPU acceleration, distributed computing, and state-of-the-art open-source frameworks. Your contributions will enhance trading methodologies by expediting experimental cycles, promoting continuous evolution and improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage large-scale distributed training workflows tailored to handle extensive datasets and intricate models.
- Engineer and fine-tune low-latency inference pipelines to guarantee real-time model predictions within production environments.
- Develop software libraries aimed at boosting the efficiency of machine learning frameworks.
- Leverage GPU hardware and acceleration libraries to optimize performance during both training and inference phases.
- Design scalable model architectures capable of processing extensive trading data with rapid, precise predictions.
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers to automate machine learning experiments, including hyperparameter tuning and model re-training procedures.
- Work in tandem with high-performance computing experts to optimize workflows, accelerate training processes, and minimize operational costs.
- Assess and implement third-party tools to advance capabilities in model development, training, and inference.
- Investigate and enhance the inner workings of open-source machine learning resources to extend functionality and improve performance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in machine learning, emphasizing systems for training or inference.
- Practical knowledge of deploying real-time, low-latency machine learning pipelines in environments prioritizing high performance is highly desirable.
- Proficient software engineering skills, particularly in Python, CUDA, or C++.
- Experience using machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Expertise in GPU programming and acceleration frameworks like CuDNN and TensorRT for enhancing training and inference speed.
- Familiarity with distributed training methodologies, employing tools such as Horovod and NCCL for scaling machine learning workloads.
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure platforms and orchestration technologies.
- Previous contributions to open-source projects within machine learning, data science, or distributed systems environments are an added advantage.
