Role Overview

The Machine Learning Engineer on the Conversation Intelligence team will create AI-driven functionalities that enhance user interactions. This role involves designing and deploying scalable machine learning models to analyze voice and messaging data at large scale, collaborating closely with experienced practitioners to deliver impactful features.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop machine learning models ensuring high standards of accuracy, security, and scalability.
• Build and maintain end-to-end AI/ML pipelines from data intake and feature creation through model implementation, testing, and deployment, guided by senior engineers.
• Integrate comprehensive metrics, logging, and telemetry into AI/ML services to track performance and maintain reliability as per service level objectives.
• Engage in on-call duties, execute phased releases, and apply mitigation strategies to ensure healthy production inference environments.
• Participate actively in planning, designing, and code reviews to contribute to product development and uphold code quality.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another related quantitative subject; or equivalent practical expertise.
• At least 2 years of professional experience developing and applying machine learning methods, proficient in Python and one ML framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Familiarity with natural language processing tools like Hugging Face Transformers, NLTK, or SpaCy.
• Hands-on experience deploying machine learning services in collaborative settings including aspects like model versioning, experiment management, and using cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong Python programming skills or comparable object-oriented languages.
• Experience incorporating both large and small language models within software ecosystems.
• Effective communication abilities to clearly explain advanced technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical knowledge in conversational AI, fine-tuning large language models, or prompt engineering in production environments.
• Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, or CrewAI.
• Experience using MLOps and LLMOps tools for model maintenance including testing, version management, registries, retraining, and monitoring.

Work Location and Travel

This role is remote-based from Ireland. Occasional travel may be necessary for team meetings, off-sites, or engagements with customers.
