Logistics Project Manager

Overview

The role involves managing project operations and program support, including standardization, quality management, document control, method creation and maintenance, process improvement, and tools for project management. It impacts the team's capability to meet service, quality, and deadline objectives. The position operates under operational policy guidelines with moderate autonomy and requires strong operational judgment to attain desired outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire project operations either directly or indirectly, including managing operations where activities are centrally distributed to resources executing customer projects or project monitoring tasks.
• Possess specialized knowledge within the function and influence strategy development, resource control, and policy formulation for the assigned area.
• Evaluate straightforward internal and external business challenges and propose best practices for enhancing products, processes, or services while staying updated on industry trends that may impact the work.
• Use significant judgment to make decisions and resolve complex issues related to operations, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering. Assess the quality of information provided, question stakeholders appropriately, offer novel problem solutions beyond established parameters, and make recommendations based on multiple internal and some external sources beyond the immediate function.
• Lead functional teams or projects that involve minimal resources, risks, and medium complexity. Communicate complex ideas effectively and influence others’ perspectives. Coach others to adopt different viewpoints.

Qualifications

• Extensive professional experience is required, typically equivalent to having a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
