Job Role
We are seeking a Locator to join our team at Adesta. This role involves using electronic locating tools and reference documents to mark the position of underground utilities accurately.
Responsibilities
- Utilize electronic locating equipment along with as-built drawings, maps, and atlases to precisely identify and mark underground facilities.
- Have working knowledge of telecommunications, sewer, water, streetlight, and traffic signal infrastructure.
- Prepare and submit thorough supporting documentation for each locate operation, which may include daily reports, tracking forms, and photographic evidence.
- Note and document any inconsistencies found when comparing as-built drawings and maps to actual findings.
- Monitor ongoing construction activities to safeguard existing underground facilities.
Requirements
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent certification.
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.
- At least one year of technical training or hands-on experience with electronic locating devices or within the telecommunications sector.
- Capable of meeting deadlines across multiple assignments and work with urgency.
- Focused and determined, with the ability to manage competing tasks and ensure project completion.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to build positive relationships with clients and coworkers at all levels.
