Local Division Manager - Electrification Services UAE

About the Role

Join ABB as a Local Division Manager to lead Electrification Services (ELSE) operations across the UAE and Oman. Reporting to the ELSE Cluster Manager for Middle East and Africa, this pivotal position combines strategic leadership with operational oversight. You will be responsible for steering country-level operations, promoting profitable growth, and adapting global strategies locally. The role demands active, hands-on leadership ensuring service quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction within a multi-tier organizational setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the global strategy tailored to local markets, offering insights for regional strategy, and develop business growth plans aligned with global objectives.
• Oversee full Profit & Loss management for ELSE operations, setting performance targets, monitoring results, and implementing corrective measures.
• Design and enforce service delivery strategies, uphold consistent quality standards, monitor improvement areas, and manage quality enhancement programs.
• Forge and maintain robust relationships with key customers, evaluate market prospects, and enhance customer satisfaction and sales competitiveness.
• Lead a structured organization with both direct and indirect reports, ensuring appropriate staffing, skill development, and fostering high-performing teams accountable for outcomes.
• Promote a culture emphasizing continuous improvement and operational excellence, including process enhancements, new service offerings, HSE compliance, and sustainability practices.
• Supervise major projects ensuring alignment with timelines, quality benchmarks, financial objectives, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Master’s degree in business administration or equivalent advanced business qualification.
• At least 15 years’ experience in service management, operations, or business leadership roles.
• Proven expertise in Profit & Loss accountability and generating profitable growth.
• Successful leadership of multi-level teams comprising direct and indirect reports.
• Strong background in operational excellence frameworks, quality management, health, safety, environment (HSE), and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with ABB’s products, services, or business practices, together with regional or international business operations experience.
• Strategic outlook with a focus on long-term planning and sustainable development.
• Exceptional organizational leadership skills with a commitment to talent development and building high-performance teams.
