Job description

Role Overview

The Level III Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Leader holds responsibility for overseeing and performing NDT inspections to guarantee the airworthiness, safety, and dependability of aerospace parts and assemblies in line with the company’s quality benchmarks and regulatory mandates. This position delivers expert technical guidance and supervision in NDT fields, supporting the company’s operations across Singapore and Australia, while working collaboratively with internal teams to fulfill customer and compliance needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage NDT systems adhering to all regulatory and client requirements.
  • Support the accountable manager in addressing regulatory or audit queries related to NDT operations.
  • Engage in internal and external audits and contribute to managing associated corrective actions.
  • Provide Level III NDT supervision across the company’s Banyo, Singapore, and Pinkenba sites.
  • Conduct required NDT inspections within the company’s regional facilities.
  • Develop frameworks for training and approving NDT inspection personnel regionally.
  • Participate in recruitment and management of NDT operational staff.
  • Utilize and support training on systems including Pentagon ERP, SERA QMS, and MS Office Suite.
  • Adhere to corporate HR policies and aid in evolving quality and safety management systems, focusing on NDT procedures.
  • Lead with a quality-first mindset to assure tasks meet expected standards.
  • Provide leadership to the NDT team to achieve operational and quality targets.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to expand NDT capabilities and market presence.
  • Champion workplace health and safety by ensuring compliance with WHS policies, reporting hazards and incidents promptly, correctly using protective equipment, and fostering a culture of zero harm.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Formal Level III certifications in Magnetic Particle Testing, Eddy Current Testing, and Liquid Penetrant Testing.
  • Completed formal quality management systems training.
  • Eligibility to obtain work approval for Australia.
  • Experience in aviation-related NDT is preferred.
  • Background with Quality Management Systems and Safety Management Systems.
  • Proven skills in mentoring and training technical personnel.
  • Energetic, self-driven, hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in dynamic environments and interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
