Role Overview

The Laundry Runner plays a critical role in managing the handling of linens, uniforms, and guest laundry within the hotel’s laundry operations. This role requires familiarity with laundry equipment as well as adherence to environmental standards and operational protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and report in full uniform.
• Sign in and out at the start and end of shifts accordingly.
• Complete daily production documentation accurately.
• Conduct routine area checks and prepare the workspace as needed.
• Inspect and ensure laundry equipment is functioning properly.
• Clean and tidy the laundry area before concluding the shift.
• Perform shutdown procedures for steam pipes, electrical switches, and main panels at the end of the workday.
• Deliver soiled uniforms to the Linen Room.
• Practice environmentally responsible habits such as minimizing waste, recycling, and reusing materials wherever possible.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of one year experience in hotel laundry operations, preferably within a large establishment of at least 200 rooms or a commercial laundry facility.
• Proficient in spoken and written English for effective communication.
• Basic computer proficiency to handle production records and operations.
• Adaptability to work extended hours when required.
