About the Role
Bureau Veritas is searching for an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) professional with a substantial background in supervising HSE aspects on large dam construction, hydropower, or significant infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate must bring at least 15 years of expertise in this domain and be based in Tajikistan.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience specifically in hydropower projects.
- Proven track record working on projects funded by international financial institutions.
- Leadership experience managing HSE teams across complex environments involving multiple contractors.
- Familiarity with World Bank HSE guidelines and Environmental and Social Standards (ESS2, ESS4) is advantageous.
Additional Requirements
- At least 10 years of overall relevant experience.
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Labor Relations, Social Sciences, Law, or related areas.
- Proficiency in English language.
Core Responsibilities
- Act as a labor specialist supervising labor-related issues within large construction environments.
- Ensure compliance with World Bank Environmental and Social Framework (especially ESS2) or similar standards from International Financial Institutions.
- Manage labor management procedures including monitoring working conditions, accommodation for workers, grievance mechanisms, and preventative measures against sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (SEA/SH).
