Position Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Kitchen Porters at The Winter Gardens pub in Harrogate. No prior experience is required; what matters most is a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and the ability to stay composed under pressure. Job Responsibilities

  • Setting up and closing the potwash area each shift, ensuring continuous availability of clean equipment.
  • Supporting other kitchen stations with various tasks as needed.
  • Adhering to hygiene protocols for dishwashing, grease management, and personal hand cleanliness.
  • Cleaning, polishing, and properly storing cutlery.
  • Managing waste disposal and recycling procedures, and handling deliveries carefully.
  • Rotating stock and maintaining cleanliness and organization in fridges, freezers, and storage spaces.
  • Carrying out defrosting, preparation, and general kitchen cleaning duties, following a clean-as-you-go policy.
  • Upholding high standards of food storage safety and overall kitchen sanitation.
