Role Overview
As a Key Account Manager based in Guwahati, Assam, you will be responsible for managing and expanding the customer base within your assigned territory. You will execute marketing strategies in collaboration with the Area Manager, promote targeted products for specific customers, and endeavor to meet set revenue objectives. Building strong relationships with doctors, key opinion leaders, distributors, and internal teams will be essential. Monitoring competitor activities and customer usage patterns will also form a critical part of your role.
Key Responsibilities
- Cover all assigned territory customers by profiling and selectively promoting products tailored for them.
- Implement marketing strategies and work closely with Area Managers to optimize field operations.
- Plan and organize daily field activities, maintaining records of customer interactions and usage trends.
- Build and nurture relationships with doctors, key opinion leaders, distributors, and peers.
- Generate revenue and achieve both monthly and quarterly sales targets consistently.
- Expand the market for IOLI and RIOUOVD products and medical equipment.
- Perform a minimum of 4 regular client visits and 2 new prospect calls daily.
- Develop at least 10 new customers currently using non-imported foldable IOLs yearly.
- Convert at least 5 competitor customers to AMO foldable lenses, each generating a minimum annual sale of INR 5 lakhs.
- Upgrade at least 10 existing AMO users to premium products annually.
- Attend operating theaters regularly to understand customer needs and ensure satisfaction.
- Conduct product demos in coordination with regional managers and product specialists, maintaining a demo-to-sale success rate of at least 25%.
- Support sustainable market expansion through effective bundling offers as per agreements.
- Manage account receivables related to equipment sales, aiming for minimal outstanding balances.
- Enhance product knowledge continuously and participate in scientific programs such as CMEs and round tables.
- Conduct at least one patient counselor training session monthly.
- Maintain rigorous reporting discipline including daily activity reports, monthly tour and sales plans, expenses, and funnel tracking.
- Coordinate seamlessly with sales, marketing, and support functions for day-to-day activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate degree in any field, preferably science; a master’s degree in business or marketing is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, including 3 to 4 years in medical devices, healthcare, or ophthalmology sectors.
