Position Overview
The Junior Waiter role is integral to supporting the senior restaurant team by warmly welcoming guests, clearing tables efficiently, and delivering food and beverages in a bustling dining setting. The role requires maintaining the service, presentation, hygiene, and hospitality standards of Son Of A Fish.
Core Responsibilities
- Greet guests professionally and courteously upon arrival.
- Provide menus, explain dishes, and suggest food and drink pairings.
- Take accurate orders and ensure prompt delivery to guests.
- Anticipate and address guests' needs, offering personalized service to enhance their experience.
- Prepare, maintain, and clear tables adhering to upscale standards.
- Assist with restaurant opening and closing procedures.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Manage guest complaints tactfully and refer issues to management as needed.
- Possess and maintain in-depth knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and beverage options.
- Promote specials, premium selections, and wine pairings to increase sales.
- Stay informed about current promotions, events, and service protocols.
- Keep all dining areas clean and organized, following health and safety regulations.
- Adhere to strict hygiene and service standards throughout shifts.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 2 to 4 years of experience working in fine-dining restaurants, upscale hotels, or luxury hospitality settings.
- Strong understanding of fine-dining etiquette and service norms, including wine and beverage knowledge.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
