Role Overview

This full-time, onsite position in Doha involves supporting senior engineers in the design, installation, testing, commissioning, and upkeep of fire alarm and related fire protection systems per local regulatory codes. Daily responsibilities include assisting with site surveys, preparing technical documentation and reports, troubleshooting system issues, coordinating project tasks, conducting inspections, verifying system operations, maintaining work records, and fostering safety and quality improvements. The role demands compliance with health and safety guidelines and active participation as a UPDA Trainee for professional growth.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering for design, assessment, and maintenance of fire alarm systems
  • Firm understanding of Fire and Life Safety standards ensuring adherence to codes and best practices
  • Knowledge of Fire Suppression Systems to coordinate alarm integration and system performance
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related discipline preferred
  • Familiarity with NFPA standards, Qatar Civil Defense regulations, and relevant industry codes is advantageous
  • Strong technical writing skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Effective communicator with eagerness to learn and capable of working safely in an onsite, team-based setting
  • Eligibility or willingness to obtain UPDA Trainee registration is a plus
