Janitor

About the Role

As a Janitor, you will play a vital role in preparing and distributing products to retail stores while maintaining Food Safety standards, ensuring quality service to all customers, coworkers, and suppliers, all in alignment with the Farm Boy Way.

Key Duties

• Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization in administrative offices, common workspaces, and storage areas.
• Execute general housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
• Advise on ordering janitorial supplies and merchandise when necessary.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols concerning sanitation, equipment operation, and workplace safety.
• Provide assistance and cover for other team members as needed.
• Perform other related tasks periodically as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Approximately six months of experience within a related industry.
• Excellent customer service capabilities paired with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate independently while upholding high standards of quality, attention to detail, and cleanliness.
• Strong team collaboration skills with effective written and verbal communication.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in both English and French is considered advantageous.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Exposure to environmental factors such as noise, dust, dirt, vibrations, and extreme temperatures that cannot be avoided.
• Supporting multiple people or departments under tight deadlines.
• Use of protective clothing, equipment, and advanced personal protective equipment may be required during shifts.
• Physical requirements include the ability to lift, carry, or handle heavy objects.
