Janitor / Custodian

Job Overview

This role is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the workplace. Duties include cleaning work areas such as walkways, break rooms, offices, and exterior grounds located within the facility's perimeter.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, replenish supplies, and report any maintenance issues to designated personnel.
• Clean floors throughout all general walking areas inside the facility.
• Clean walkways, drinking fountains, and break areas both inside and outside the building; inspect these areas for maintenance or supply needs.
• Remove lint, dust, oil, and grease from machinery, overhead piping, and conveyor systems using appropriate tools such as brushes, air hoses, or steam cleaners.
• Collect reusable and recyclable scrap materials and store them in proper containers.
• Keep supply closets or carts organized and tidy.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Candidate Qualifications

• Ability to read and write basic English.
• Familiarity with safe handling and use of general cleaning chemicals.
• Experience level between zero to three months is acceptable.
