Job description
Role Overview
Take ownership of a designated project portfolio, driving execution aligned with IT project management methodologies to meet predefined objectives and ensure client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the assigned projects using IT project management best practices to ensure effective and timely completion, measured by set goals and customer feedback.
- Foster and maintain robust collaborations with relevant departments and units to facilitate seamless project delivery.
- Manage communications and maintain vendor relations to guarantee mutual fulfillment of contractual responsibilities.
- Serve as liaison among various IT departments to monitor and advance project progression.
- Communicate pertinent project details efficiently to supervisors and peers.
- Provide prompt project updates and report issues to management.
- Prepare all essential documentation including project initiation, status, and closure reports and disseminate them appropriately.
- Mitigate risks by controlling project scope and proactively addressing potential issues.
- Participate in and conduct team and client meetings to guide project direction and maintain focus.
- Address challenging personnel situations tactfully and in collaboration with Human Capital functions.
- Possess deep understanding of system architectures and constraints to inform problem-solving approaches.
- Respond accurately and timely to audits and compliance inquiries.
- Safeguard project information and ensure compliance with group security policies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality to protect sensitive commercial information.
- Identify and pursue professional growth opportunities for self-improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is essential.
- Certification in Project Management Institute (PMI) standards is required.
- Advanced qualifications such as an MBA or Master’s degree are advantageous.
- At least eight years managing IT projects within banking or financial services sectors.
- Additional training or certifications in system technologies, management, or banking are beneficial.
