Role Overview
We are seeking an Inventory Associate to manage the loan and consignment sets used in orthopaedic surgeries. This position demands meticulous attention to detail as each set plays a critical role in patient treatment. The incumbent will take full responsibility for ensuring the precision and efficiency of inventory processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete loan service lifecycle, including ordering, assembling, and coordinating delivery and returns with the sales team.
- Maintain comprehensive, current lists of loan set availability.
- Conduct thorough checks of sets and accompanying documentation prior to dispatch.
- Handle check-in processes, restocking, and invoicing related to usage.
- Track serial and lot numbers consistently and accurately at all times.
- Ensure adherence to loan procedures across relevant teams, including sales.
- Supervise annual audits for consignment sets, rotate stock to prevent expiry, and prepare audit documentation.
- Order inventory stock and manage consignment paperwork efficiently.
- Support sales team in compliance with consignment protocols, especially during busy periods.
- Produce monthly inventory and audit reports.
- Perform manual handling tasks with boxes mostly weighing around 5kg, none exceeding 12.5kg, adhering to safe handling limits.
- Provide general office assistance including phone coverage, order processing, dispatch duties, and goods receipt as required.
Candidate Profile
- Strong organisational, planning, and detail-oriented skills.
- Ability to make confident, independent decisions.
- Clear, professional communication skills both verbal and written.
- Proficient with basic computer software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Collaborative yet capable of working independently.
- Physically fit with comfort in manual handling activities.
- Valid full driving licence with personal transportation due to rural workplace location.
- Experience in inventory management, preferably within medical or healthcare industries.
- Educational background in science, healthcare, or quality management is preferred.
- Genuine enthusiasm for healthcare products and their positive impact on patient care.
- Committed work ethic with readiness to foster best practices within the team.
- Integrity and honesty in interactions with colleagues and clients.
- Open to adopting new ideas and process improvements.
- Understanding of relevant legal and industry compliance requirements.

- Competitive annual salary ranging from €30,000 to €45,000 based on experience.
