Job description
Position Overview
We seek an individual eager to establish a long-term career within our firm rather than transition frequently between roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
- Manage BAS and IAS submissions and compliance.
- Handle Division 7A, capital gains tax, and fringe benefits tax (FBT) matters.
- Engage in tax planning activities and work closely with business groups and family structures.
- Communicate and collaborate with managers and clients effectively.
- Support and supervise junior team members as experience grows.
- Gradually increase involvement in advisory and strategic projects.
Our client base is primarily privately owned businesses and individuals, offering a diverse exposure to various industries, ownership structures, and commercial considerations.
Candidate Profile
- Between 3 to 6 years of experience in Australian public accounting practice.
- Proficient in preparing financial statements and tax returns for a variety of entity types including companies, trusts, and individual clients.
- Holds a relevant accounting or commerce degree.
- Has commenced or completed Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) studies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Self-motivated with a readiness to take ownership of tasks.
- Committed to ongoing technical and professional growth.
- Holds permanent working rights in Australia.
