Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Middleware & Integration Lead with 12 to 15 years of expertise in designing, developing, deploying, and supporting complex technical integrations utilizing various integration patterns. The ideal professional should demonstrate strong mastery in IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), middleware, messaging systems, microservices, Java technologies, and enterprise architecture, preferably with experience in the Banking or BFSI sectors.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of middleware services from requirement analysis and system design through development, implementation, configuration, deployment to support.
- Architect and implement diverse integration solutions leveraging multiple patterns such as services, microservices, monoliths, middleware, and messaging.
- Create scalable, secure integration designs aligning with business needs, using industry standards and suitable protocols.
- Manage and administer the IBM App Connect Enterprise platform, including setup, configuration, development, and deployment.
- Lead and mentor the middleware team, allocate tasks, provide technical guidance, and enforce quality and development standards.
- Develop high- and low-level technical documentation and ensure compliance with governance and quality standards.
- Design and build microservices-based integration solutions and work with API gateways or meshes adhering to appropriate API conventions.
- Employ agile methodologies, ensuring solid SDLC practices including branching strategies, code reviews, and continuous integration.
- Work with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS, supporting containerization and advancing modern integration technologies.
- Support integration solutions within Banking/BFSI domains, including knowledge of Open Banking and BI4AN API standards.
- Provide production support by troubleshooting issues and ensuring integration solutions' availability, reliability, and security.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 12 to 15 years in middleware and integration design, development, implementation, and support.
- Proven expertise in IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM MQ, Apache Kafka, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Strong background in Java, Spring, Hibernate, microservices architecture, messaging technologies, and API integration.
- Experience managing and leading middleware development teams.
- Familiarity with Agile development cycles and DevOps practices including GitOps.
- Experience in banking or BFSI sectors is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with cloud ecosystems such as Azure and AWS and container technologies.
