About the Role
The Inside Sales Specialist is pivotal in driving new business development and lead qualification for ICE's sales team throughout the Asia Pacific region. This position emphasizes understanding customer needs, conducting thorough research, and collaborating with internal teams to facilitate targeted product demonstrations and meaningful conversations. It supports lead generation, both inbound and outbound, and contributes substantially to sales initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Be physically present at the office five days a week to ensure comprehensive onboarding and seamless communication within the team.
- Proactively generate and qualify sales leads by making cold calls, responding to inbound inquiries via phone and email, and engaging potential customers.
- Establish rapport with prospects to comprehend their business challenges and requirements thoroughly.
- Work closely with the sales team by providing detailed insights on prospect needs and status, ensuring smooth transition of qualified leads.
- Collaborate with Relationship Management, Sales Leadership, Marketing, and other departments to strategize and share information regarding potential customer accounts, thereby fueling sales efforts.
- Accurately document all lead-related activities in Salesforce, ensuring proper tracking and lead assignment.
- Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of ICE’s products and market trends to deliver effective product pitches.
- Engage in internal meetings, sales training sessions, and mentorship programs to enhance sales expertise.
- Participate in sales meetings, business reviews, and support product demonstrations as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not mandatory.
- No formal sales development experience required; however, customer-facing roles or internships are advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capability to confidently engage prospects over the phone.
- Proven organizational abilities with effective task and deadline management.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean is a plus.
- A proactive, competitive, and self-motivated mindset with an eagerness to learn and innovate.
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-changing environment and openness to new tools and platforms, such as CRM systems like Salesforce, is beneficial.
- A goal-driven attitude, comfortable working independently or collaboratively.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to coordinate across departments while managing individual responsibilities.
- A client-focused approach that emphasizes building trusted relationships and delivering exceptional service.
