  • Apply your understanding of network technologies and core networking principles.
  • Work with security technologies such as email security, firewalls, URL filtering, and malware defenses.
  • Engage with platforms like Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), or similar security tools.
  • Operate within structured change environments, using tools like ServiceNow or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of ITIL-based processes including change, incident, and problem management.
  • Handle Windows and Linux operating systems; use scripting or programming skills where applicable.
  • Coordinate with vendors and manage complex stakeholder interactions.
  • Understand information security frameworks such as ISO 27001.
  • Experience in regulated sectors such as financial services or government agencies is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform, along with their security concepts and controls.
  • Support the operational health, maintenance, upgrades, and continuous improvement of enterprise cyber security platforms.
  • Holding industry certifications like Security+, SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, GSEC, CCNA Security, CISSP, or equivalents is beneficial.

Working at Westpac

  • Enjoy four weeks of standard annual leave plus five additional wellbeing leave days to support your overall health.
  • Option to purchase up to four extra weeks of leave yearly.
  • Access banking benefits, insurance discounts, and a superannuation plan.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and internal career mobility.
  • Recognition programs that reward outstanding performance.
  • School holiday subsidy to help balance work and family obligations.
  • Two volunteer days per year to support community involvement.
