Job description
Position Overview
As an In Room Dining Server at Marriott International in Edmonton, you will play an essential role in creating unique and memorable dining experiences for our guests. More than just delivering food and beverages, this role involves engaging with guests, ensuring their satisfaction throughout their meal, and maintaining professionalism and quality standards in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a broad range of guest services including table setup, communicating with kitchen staff, serving guests, and maintaining clean service areas and supplies.
- Ensure food and beverage transactions are smoothly integrated into the overall guest experience.
- Follow all company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures to create a secure and professional environment.
- Maintain personal appearance and communications at a professional level.
- Stay physically active throughout shifts, including standing, walking, and moving over varied surfaces, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds independently, and collaborating to move weights up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- Less than one year of related work experience required.
- No supervisory experience or special licenses/certifications needed.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Capability to handle physical demands such as lifting, carrying, and reaching in various positions.
